Solidarity through movement and object is Dam's first exploration between movement and objects, leading to her project Connecting from the Inside Out (2024), developed during a residency at SBC Gallery of Contemporary Art.
In collaboration with two dance artists, she examine the creation of spaces of care and kindness through the interaction of movement and objects. By activating her sculptures named Objects of Solidarity, the performers explore ways to connect and be together. Inspired by Body-Mind Centering practice, she invites the performers to engage in guided improvisations to explore themes of solidarity, healing, and care through movement.
