My vulnerability is not for shaming is a video installation that explores themes of loss, mourning and resilience. This video features portraits of the artist's mother, sister and herself. In the video, everyone is invited to experience different levels of sensibility and explore their relationship with their own vulnerability. For this video, the artist used different transparent filters and played with highlights and blurs in order to create an effect of distance between the subjects and the public. This project questions the place of grief in our society and our ability to be vulnerable both towards others and towards ourselves. My vulnerability is not for shaming highlights the complexity of confronting our painful memories often caused by our defense mechanisms.
